eLearning at UA

Many courses at the University of Alabama include online resources in the eLearning Learning Management System.

ACCESSING ELEARNING:
eLearning courses can be accessed through myBama at http://mybama.ua.edu using the individual’s Bama username and password.

If a student or instructor does not know their Bama username or password, they go to https://bama.ua.edu/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/helpdesk/reset.pl

After having logged in to myBama, the student or faculty member clicks on the Academics tab.

Faculty can also find the eLearning Channel on the Faculty Tab. Students can find it on the Student Tab.

Users will see the eLearning Channel containing a list of semesters from current to previous.
     • To show or expand a list of courses for a semester, click on the arrow next to the semester.
     • To hide a list of courses for a semester, click on the arrow next to the semester.

To enter a course, click on its title. Only courses with an active eLearning component will be listed in the eLearning channel.

Note: To leave one course and access another course, return to the my eLearning screen to see if the course is listed there. If a course is not listed there, go to the eLearning channel myBama and click on the course in the list.

Students and faculty may also log in to eLearning directly at http://elearning.ua.edu. Click on The University of Alabama, then on Log In using the Bama username and password and click OK. From the Course List, choose the course to be accessed.

MORE ELEARNING INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS:
If a student does not see a course in eLearning, the next step is to ask the instructor if materials have been placed there; not all courses use eLearning to deliver course content.
