Emerging Technology and Accessibility provides information on creating accessible digital resources, especially for users with disabilities. We are all content creators, from online course materials to documents and presentations. Therefore, we should all strive to make our content as accessible as possible. These resources offer some first steps to help make content accessible and to learn why this is such an important endeavor.

DUO is supported by the Office of Information Technology. DUO two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security to your myBama account. It requires two factors to verify identity. These factors include something you know – your username and password, and something you have – a phone or passcode, to authenticate and gain access to an account. Passwords alone no longer provide adequate protection against cyber hacking.

Faronics Insight

Insight is supported by the Office of Information Technology. Insight is a computer lab management tool that allows instructors to control all computers in a lab from a single teaching workstation.

Taskstream ePortfolios

Taskstream is supported by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Taskstream Learning Achievement Tools (LAT) is a cloud-based platform for electronic portfolios (ePortfolios). Taskstream LAT allows the user to collect, store and publish a variety of documents such as student artifacts, resumes and reflections, as well as videos, pictures, and other digital records of educational experiences.
